Travel Photo Diary

I was fortunate to visit the beautiful Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. For this visit I went with my father and his wife, and we stayed at the divine Hotel das Cataratas, a Belmond Hotel, Iguassu Falls. It was a gem and I would almost go back just to stay at this hotel again.

The property is right inside Iguassu National Park (Brazil side) so one of the perks is that you can walk down to the Falls after the crowds have left for the day and virtually have it all to yourself. But the property itself was so lovely that on one of our days we decided to just relax by the pool and enjoy the beautiful weather.

During the day it was quite busy with tourists but I was able to go down to the Falls twice after hours and get some nice photos without the crowds. This was the trip I sadly damaged my Sony however, you are really close the the waterfalls and it got soaked. It still works but the LCD screen doesn’t. That’s the price you pay!
