Studio fashion photography combines attention to detail with the art of storytelling through visual composition, lighting and backdrops, and wardrobe selection. Each element, from wardrobe selection to posing and styling, is carefully curated to convey a specific mood or concept. For this particular photo shoot - I took inspiration from the model Helena, who reminded me of Monica Bellucci. We wanted to try a few different looks and kept it simple in terms of props and the studio setting as I really wanted the focus to be on the model. Kaitlin of Dwell Atelier styled the looks, and brought some fun accessories to work with. I also shot a roll of 35mm Kodak film to experiment towards the end of the shoot.
